Hiring Managers will access New HIRE Request Form to obtain necessary approvals. Once the approvals are obtained, you will be contacted to review hiring specifics.

Step 1: The supervisor/manager creates a Position Job Description for the new position. The job description describes the job, education and experience requirements. For assistance go the Job Description job aid on the HR website.
Step 2: Send the completed Job Description to CAS HR for review.
Step 3: CAS HR makes any required revisions and submits to Compensation

Civil Service Employment Opportunities

An applicant applying for University employment opportunities must compete successfully in an appropriate State Universities Civil Service Examination. Examinations are open only to citizens or residents of Illinois who qualify for the position in which they are applying.
